Central to our mission is the preservation of resources for future generations. Sustainable energy, harnessed from sources like wind, solar, and water, plays a crucial role in our vision by meeting current energy needs while safeguarding future generations' ability to meet their own. We take this responsibility seriously, and it has guided our actions for decades.
Our teams have actively been engaged in numerous wind and solar projects for over two decades. One of the biggest projects to date was in 2006, when most of our leadership team was involved with Delaney Construction and built Maple Ridge Wind Farm, the largest wind farm east of the Mississippi then! It was an ambitious undertaking that pushed our team to new heights.Â
A Pioneering Project
The Maple Ridge Wind Farm tested our team's capabilities and commitment to sustainable energy. It was quite a sight, with over 200 wind turbines spanning the New York State's hills. Our Superintendent, Mike Delaney, remarks, "It was a massive undertaking, but the sense of accomplishment we felt was incredible. We knew we were part of something bigger that would change the future of renewable energy in the region."Â
Completing the Maple Ridge Wind Farm solidified our reputation as leaders in the renewable energy sector. It ignited a passion in our team to continue pushing boundaries and delivering innovative, sustainable solutions. This pioneering spirit has carried through our most recent projects, each a testament to our ability to adapt, innovate, and make a lasting impact.
A Legacy of Renewable Energy Projects
A few of our recent notable projects are the High River Energy Center, Number Three Wind Farm, Bluestone Wind Farm, East Point Solar, Baron Winds Wind Farm, Morris Ridge Solar Energy Center, and more. Each of these projects was an opportunity for us to live out our mission by enhancing the resilience of our power grids, evolving with the regulations, and paving the way for a more sustainable future.

Enhancing Resilience and Backup Power
Renewable energy is crucial in enhancing community resourcefulness by reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels and providing local, sustainable energy options. When paired with energy storage, these renewable energy projects can offer critical backup power during grid outages, improving overall resilience as extreme weather events become more frequent due to climate change. For instance, the 2021 Texas winter storm and Hurricane Ida caused widespread power outages, leaving millions without essential services. In such extreme conditions, traditional backup power sources like diesel generators can be unreliable due to their susceptibility to failure and fuel shortages.
Our work specifically considers the typical weather and climates in the areas where we build renewable energy projects, considering the natural conditions that could occur in these regions. By aligning our systems with the local environment, we can optimize their performance and ensure they continue to deliver essential power during grid disruptions. Currently, 38 states have policies to encourage the adoption of backup power systems, but many others still need such measures. Expanding access to renewable energy-powered backup power can help improve resilience nationwide, ensuring communities are better prepared to withstand and recover from disruptions to the traditional electricity grid.
By investing in renewable energy projects that can maintain power supply, we are building a more resilient and sustainable future for all. These projects provide clean, reliable energy and enhance the power grid's overall resilience, enabling communities to better withstand and recover from extreme weather events and other disruptions.
Aligning with Evolving Regulations
As the importance of sustainability grows, the regulatory landscape also evolves to reflect these priorities. Building codes and policies are increasingly mandating the inclusion of renewable energy, energy storage, and other sustainable features in new construction and infrastructure projects.
For example 2019, New York State passed the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, which set ambitious targets for renewable energy generation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Similarly, neighboring states like New Jersey and Connecticut have also implemented policies to drive the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.Â
Our decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, including the successful completion of wind farm projects like Roaring Brook Wind Farm, Jericho Rise Wind Farm, and Copenhagen Wind Farm, have equipped us with a deep understanding of the regulatory frameworks governing these types of developments. Our expertise allows us to navigate the permitting process, incorporate the latest sustainable design standards, and deliver projects fully compliant with state and local regulations.
These evolving regulations are essential, as they can significantly impact the energy landscape and future energy consumption patterns. Unforeseen changes, such as the rapid development of new technologies or changes in consumer behavior, could further alter the energy landscape, making it crucial to remain adaptable and responsive to these dynamic conditions. By aligning our renewable energy projects with the shifting regulatory landscape, we are fully equipped to help our clients navigate these complex requirements and continue delivering cutting-edge sustainable solutions. Â
Embracing the Future: Building Sustainable Energy Solutions
Sustainable energy is not just an option but the future of construction. We are ready to lead this transformation by continuing to focus on innovative renewable energy projects that contribute to more resilient communities for generations to come. Our commitment to sustainability and expertise in delivering cutting-edge solutions position us at the forefront of this change. We are excited to see what new sustainable innovations emerge from the world's innovators, and we are ready to adapt to the ever-evolving energy landscape.
By understanding and aligning with the complex regulatory requirements around renewable energy and sustainability, we guide our clients through this dynamic environment and ensure compliance. We deliver innovative solutions that lower our carbon footprint and work towards a more sustainable future. Our experience in wind farms and large-scale solar farms allows us to provide comprehensive sustainable energy solutions that directly offset carbon emissions and reduce reliance on non-renewable sources. As we continue to embrace the future of sustainable energy solutions, we remain committed to leveraging the latest innovations to deliver impactful projects that contribute to a more sustainable energy landscape.
Inspiring a Sustainable Legacy with Renewable Energy
But what drives us to continue this pursuit of sustainable energy solutions? It's not just about the megawatts we've generated or the emissions we've avoided; it's about the communities we've empowered and the planet we're protecting for generations to come. By highlighting our impressive track record, we hope to inspire others to join in building a more resilient future.
