In 2017, the small town of Tully, New York got a major upgrade to their varsity field, thanks to a generous donation from The Wesson Group. The construction project on the Tully Baseball Field started in August and team members from The Wesson Group stepped up, offering their time, expertise, and the materials needed to complete the massive earthwork, grading, and installing underdrainage system.
The total donation was around $30,000, covering the cost of operations, materials, and equipment rentals. Jeff Lantiegne, Emily Lantiegne, Jack Murray, Griffin Murray, and their family friends, volunteered countless hours to bring the project to life. “We are thankful to donate our time and resources to something the community will continue to enjoy for years to come,” said Emily Lantiegne.
In less than ten working days, the team transformed the field, and the results have been impressive. “Many have commented that it’s the nicest school field in the area,” Lantiegne shared. In fact, she’s heard numerous compliments, with many claiming it’s one of the best high school fields in the region.
The Tully Varsity Baseball team is now playing on a diamond that was made possible by The Wesson Group’s support. This partnership has brought the community together in their appreciation for the new field. For The Wesson Group, the opportunity to contribute to the Tully community and create something special that will be enjoyed for years to come was a privilege.
