"Our employees are the heart of our organization, and each brings their unique passions and perspectives," said Director of Human Resources Ashley Delaney. "Through The Employee Referral Program, we're not just making a difference; we're creating a culture where everyone is valued, supported, and inspired to make a positive impact."
A core belief drives us: We are a part of the communities we serve and have a unique responsibility to make a positive difference where we work and live. This belief fuels us to empower our employees to support the causes closest to their hearts through our Employee Referral Program. It reflects our dedication to creating a culture where everyone is valued, supported, and inspired to make a lasting impact.Â
Empowering Charitable Giving from the Heart
The program has enabled our team members to support the causes and organizations closest to their hearts directly. With each successful referral, our employees can make a meaningful donation to a non-profit of their choice. The causes supported by our team members reflect the strength of their values and the depth of their commitment to making a difference. Recipients have included the Shriners Hospital for Children, Knights of Columbus, STRIDE Sailing Program, Fulton County Regional Animal Shelter, Alex's Lemonade Stand, Fort Plain Fire Department, and South Minden Fire Department. Â
The impact of these donations extends far past the monetary contributions, as they reflect the collective efforts of our team to uplift and support the organizations and initiatives that hold significance to them. Our team members are actively shaping the communities they call home through their generosity.Â
Empowering Employees to Give Back to Their Communities
Our employees' stories of giving back through the program are an example of the impact of this initiative. Their personal experiences and connections to the causes they support emphasize the program's ability to create meaningful change within our communities.Â
"When our family lost our home in a devastating fire, The Fort Plain and South Minden fire departments were there for us every step of the way. They continued to support us through that unimaginably difficult time. The community came together to hold a benefit at the South Minden fire hall, and they helped us rebuild our home 100 days after the fire. Our family could never fully repay the kindness and generosity we experienced. That's why I'm so grateful to be able to direct my referral donations to these fire departments – to pay it forward and help another family in need within our community." shared Todd Hogan, Superintendent at The Wesson Group.
Our Corporate Risk Manager, Skip Parry, expresses, "STRIDE has meant so much to my family and me. It was truly life-changing when my son could participate in their adaptive sports programs years ago. That's why I've dedicated my time to volunteering with the organization, especially helping to expand their sailing initiatives. Being able to direct my donation is a wonderful way for me to continue to support STRIDE's important work, which has made a real difference in allowing us to provide more people with special needs the chance to experience the joy and empowerment of activities like sailing. Seeing these programs' positive impact on the participants, their families, and our whole community is gratifying. I'm grateful to work for a company that values giving back."
Through these personal stories, we see the profound impact of the Employee Referral Program not only on the organizations it supports but also on the lives of our employees and their families. These are just some examples of giving back and its ripple effect on strengthening the communities we call home.
Creating a Culture of Purpose and Compassion
Our Employee Referral Program is about more than just recruiting top talent - it reflects our dedication to making a meaningful difference. We empower our employees to support the causes they care about most. Through this, we're cultivating a culture of purpose, compassion, and community engagement beyond our workplace. As we continue to grow, we're committed to finding new ways to give back and create positive change where we live and work. This is just one part of our purpose: to build a safer, more sustainable future together.
